Yannis has over 25 years experience in private equity and alternative investments.

Prior to founding Strix, Yannis was a General Manager at Piraeus Bank, responsible for their non-performing exposures book (ca. €27 billion at its peak) and the bank’s equity investments (ca. €1 billion).

From 2007 to 2014, Yannis worked as a Partner at NBGI Private Equity in London, founding and leading the firm’s Emerging Europe division. During his tenure, the team developed into one of the most active private equity platforms across Southeastern Europe, managing committed capital of €300 million.

Prior to joining NBGI, he worked for 7 years at CVCI in London (i.e. Citigroup’s private equity business for emerging markets), executing private equity transactions in Central Eastern Europe, Middle East, India and Africa.

Joanne has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, having worked in buy-side asset management and sell-side brokerage firms. Prior to joining Strix, Joanne held position of Chief Compliance and Risk Officer for the Irish subsidiary of Sanford C. Bernstein and, previous to that, she held senior compliance roles in PIMCO, Davy and Pioneer Investments (now Amundi).

Joanne graduated from the University of Dublin Trinity College with BA in Economics and Politics.

Cathal brings over two decades of experience in the financial services industry and leads the finance function within the team. Before joining Strix, he was Chief Operating Officer at Aventicum Alternative Equities, a Swiss-based asset manager focused on alternative investment strategies.

His previous roles include Head of Fund Operations at BRT SA, a Geneva-based financial services and wealth management firm, and nearly a decade in fund administration with Citco and BNY, where he gained expertise in operational and financial oversight.

Cathal is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and holds a BSc in Pure Mathematics from Queen’s University Belfast.

David has over 25 years’ experience in local and international Financial Services companies, across the asset management, family office and investment banking sectors.

Prior to joining Strix, David worked in the family office sector, including establishing a family office for a European technology entrepreneur and as Head of the Private Investment Office in Kleinwort Hambros (Ireland).

He also spent 11 years in Sydney Australia, holding senior finance roles in Zurich Capital Markets, Macquarie Bank and Colonial State Bank.

David is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and holds the Chartered Tax Consultant qualification.

Theodora has over 6 years of experience in the financial services industry and is responsible for supporting investment decisions and portfolio management. Prior to joining Strix, she was Assistant Manager in Deloitte Restructuring & Value Creation team in Greece.

Theodora is a candidate for the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification with the ICAEW and graduated from the University of Piraeus with a BSc in Banking & Financial Management.

James has over 20 years experience as a private equity executive. He has served as a Partner at Stage Capital and its predecessor, NBGI, since 2007, where he founded and led the real estate investment business with a focus on assets in Central & Eastern Europe. From 2002 to 2007, he managed the East Europe Development Fund at Invesco, and latterly Laxey Partners, a fund which invested in private equity and real estate across CEE.  James began his career at Arthur Andersen specialising in financial services & tax consultancy

Vojo is one of the most seasoned banking executives in Serbia and the Adriatic region with senior positions including recently as Chairman and CEO of Addiko Bank (2019-25).

Vojo has also served as CEO of Piraeus Bank (Serbia) (2016-18), Executive Board Member of Vojvodanska Banka (2009-16), Investment Banking General Manager at Vojvodanska Banka (2008-09), Executive Board Member of the National Bank of Greece (2006-08) and Deputy CEO of the National Bank of Greece (2001-05) in Serbia.

Vojo is also a founding member of the ESG Foundation for Western Balkans.

Elias has been advising Strix since 2022. Prior to 2022, Elias participated in Piraeus Bank’s Group Executive Committee and was the Group Head of International & Non-Core Assets, managing the bank’s operations across 8 countries, as well as a number of non-banking businesses in Greece, with over € 10bn in assets and close to 6,000 employees. During his career he has successfully concluded more than 20 M&A transactions (over €2bn Equity Value) in a number of sectors (Financial Institutions, Infrastructure, Payments, F&B, NPLs) and held a number of C-level positions in several countries.
